82 days sinces selling up. David Jones recording.
It's our last day at this casa with a pool before moving on to Benitachell back in the Valencia region of Spain. The weather has been perfect and we have spent much of the time lazing around the pool. Agatha Christie has been catching up on his book. There has been drama, re-writes and bringing back characters from the dead. Speaking of the dead, we have been visiting the famous Alahmbra in Granada, which some say is the jewel in the spanish crown. It was nice but unfortunately on the day we went and certainly for the rest of the summer the moorish palace was being restored and the most famous patio with elegant fountains and moorish marble was a building site. It was very easy to get to though and lots of parking, like a theme park. Personally I preferred the palace in Sevilla. Continuing the theme park theme were wandered aroung Granada in 104 degrees and found the perfect square with fountain and restaurant with mist spayers like in a theme park in Florida. It did help to cool us down.
Speaking of cooling down, the pool at the casa has been wonderful for cooling down, but as it is an above ground pool it is a bit tricky to get into. Especially after a gin or two. The picture below is prime example of my grand entrance or was it an exit from the pool? Thankfully I haven't fallen off but I think the top platform is starting to crack.
"Such fun"
We are going to meet Paul's parents at the airport tommorrow. We are spending two weeks with them in a villa with a pool in Benitachell. It's their ruby wedding anniversary while they are away.
Unfortunately the villa doesn't have wifi so there will be a two week blog black out. I can tell you are all relieved!
Luego!
