London Is London!

3 days since selling up - David Jones recording. 

We are staying at a pleasant hotel in London, right by Chelsea Bridge.  Here is a picture of the room after we had slept in the bed.  Never had a white leather sofa in a hotel room before and yes thatis an exercise bike in our room.  Paul's manged 1.2KM never mind.  We have been for a swim and steam in the spa, oh my god are we going to get fit on this tour.  Not very likely with all the cooked breakfasts we are eating.

We have the next couple of days saying farewell to friends and the all - essential hair cut.  If you are in town and know us drop us a line and we will let you know where we are going to be.

We have never been so busy!

Boxes, Packing and Moving

Have all been very busy over the weekend, starting the great move from the house to the wonderful storage unit.  Here is just a selection of photographs.  Thanks to Nikki.  Also thanks to the rest of

We have a final moving day on Thursday and then plan to spend the weekend in the Isle of Wight.  We have booked ferry tickets to France for Sunday 2 May.  We then plan a drive through France eventually ending up in San Sebastian in Spain.  We have not yet decided where we are going to stay in France, will keep you posted. 

The Journey Begins

This is the start of mine and Paul's adventure.  For those of you who haven't been keeping up we have sold up and are going off travelling.  Well thats the plan! We are still waiting for the final completion of our house sale due to happen on the 26th April fingers crossed, otherwise there will be no point to this blog.

We have already bought a new car to start the adventure a renault megane convertible and plan to take it through Spain and France for the summer months.

I think it looks pretty smart, what do you all think?  We then plan to bring the car back to the UK before island hopping in Greece for the late summer.  Then in November we start the anti clockwise journey around the world. We hope to start in South America up to Central and North America over to Hawaii.  Continue on to the South Pacific Islands then New Zealand, Australia.  If we have any money left some of Asia, India, Sri lanka and then back home.

I am hoping along the journey I will keep you all informed of what we are doing and show the photos of where we are.  This is my first time at writing a blog so I hope that I will improve over the next 18 months and not bore you all to tears. Here ends the first post.
